Roger M. Sherman and Ross MacGibbon direct the Royal Ballet's "The Nutcracker." Tchaikovsky’s music, along with this performance is so beautiful and inspiring. Turn up your speaker volume to enjoy the beautiful music (but first scroll down to the bottom of our blog and hit "pause" on our playlist so that our music doesn't interfere with the video). Because I love this suite and ballet, this dance symbolizes to me the potential that is within me to dream and to reach for; not in beautiful ballet, but in my inner beauty and spirituality. To me, that is why Heavenly Father gave us the gift of His son: to give us hope, when so often we feel hopeless and discouraged. I really admire these dancers for their hard work to pull this off. I hope you enjoy this as much as I do.

This slow dance looks so completely effortless, but you know those muscles are burning when she's balancing on just one set of toes! Wow! Tchaikovsky's music is fit to make me weep. I love it, so much.
I cry like a baby everytime. This sugar plum fairy is perfect! She's cold and controlled, meaning she trades theatrics for perfect technique. I love how her prince and she are smiling like they are watching an episode of "Soothing Sounds of the Season" (not a real show/just made that up).
