Beauty & the Beast

For Valentine's Day, I gave Brandon some Valentine cake, a guide book to fly fishing in Washington and some waders. I hope he liked them. Last fall, he bought a fly fishing pole to fly fish with my brother-in-laws in Sun Valley and I thought I'd surprise him by adding to what he already had. We went to lunch at the Harborside Bistro at the Hotel Bellweather. The clam chowder was so delicious and they had the best crusty-on-the-outside, soft-on-the-inside bread you'll ever taste. After lunch, we took a tour of one of the rooms. I would love to stay there sometime. They have a king-size bed, and large, jetted tub with french doors that open into the room and an over-sized patio on the 1st floor. They also offer suites with a king-size bed, the same tub, a step-out balcony and a living room area with a sofa that pulls out into a bed. The rooms are lovely. After that we drove around town and then went back home to take it easy before the show. We went to see Lynden High School's production of Beauty & the Beast. I love this musical and I really enjoyed these kids perform it. They got really creative and made these roses to sell at intermission that had batteries on them and lit up, so when the beast was ready to transform into the prince, all these little girls held up their lit rose to give him strength. It was adorable. Belle and Gaston were fantastic, and the Beast could really sing! Lumiere and Cogsworth were hilarious. I loved it very much!
