Monday morning. I woke up a little early to get ready for my walk. It was raining outside so I borrowed Brandon’s windbreaker and got out the bundleme that my dad bought for Gloria. It goes inside the car seat and is like a rain jacket, only it has sleeves for the car seat buckles to go through. It’s the prettiest color of pink and keeps Gloria completely warm and dry. But when I got to the trail, I realized that my rear tire was almost flat. I called the car shop and they directed me to the nearest place I could get air in the tire so I could drive it to the tire shop. I drove as slow as I could with my hazard lights on 2 blocks to the place where I could get air in my tire. When I got to the tire shop, I dropped off the car and then took Gloria in her bundleme and walked her home in the pouring rain while she slept warm and dry. I was so glad to have the bundleme this morning. Unfortunately, when the tire shop called, I was told that the tire had been too flat to drive on and that I had ruined it by driving on it to get air in it to take it to the tire shop. So now Brandon and I have to buy a new tire, and probably it was a good thing because our tires need to be replaced soon and so at least we found out in the safest way that our tires weren’t good anymore. And, I still got my walk in this morning. The bundleme is nice too because instead of taking apart the entire car seat and washing it, I can just take off the bundle me, throw it in the wash and then sanitize the buckles with Clorox wipes. As soon as I walked in the house, it stopped raining outside. I would have cried about it, but it was too funny.

Way to be optimistic!
Some days are more of a challenge/adventure than others, aren't they? At least it worked out w/o any tears. Optimism is never overrated!
