Thoughts Relating to Elder Bednar's Fireside

I have been so thankful to be able to have a computer and use of the Internet. I really appreciate Brandon because when we moved to Washington, right at a time when finances were stressful, he financed a laptop at 0% interest and hooked us up to the Internet so I could stay connected with my family and friends back in Utah. It has been so great. It's helped me stay in touch with real family and friends. I have used the computer for sharing pictures of my family with grandparents that may not meet Gloria until September or even December of this year. And I don't feel like it's inhibited me at making new friends here in Washington.

Generally, I have made it a resolution to silent my phone and turn off the Internet when Brandon gets home from work. And I only use the Internet during the day if Gloria is sleeping or has just been changed and fed and is sitting next to me in her bouncer and I can talk to her between tasks. However, my dad keeps urging me and I know myself that when Gloria is taking a nap, I really should take a nap also and if I would, it would regenerate my mind and body to be more playful and engaging to my family.

My cute cousins Mandy and Shelese recommended this talk given by Elder Bednar at a fireside. It was so helpful for me in explaining use of the computer that I thought it merited taking the time early in the morning after I've slept to share it with family and friends. It's such a good explanation and completely relevant.

Thanks cousins! I hope that you all had a great time at Melissa's bridal shower. I heard she loved it and I wish so bad I could've been there. Please post pictures soon!
