Author of The Old Man and the Sea and For Whom the Bell Tolls, Hemingway surprisingly had a softer side. He loved his cats; especially those of the six-toed variety. Several of these unique cats are still hanging around the Hemingway estate even after the author has been gone a long time. Eventually, he ended his own life in Ketchum, ID after a long struggle with depression. In Sun Valley, along a bike trail, you can visit the Hemingway memorial that reads, "Best of All He Loved the Fall."

This was the only Hemmingway book I ever read. It must have been a little over my head. If I remember right, I can just recall feeling really bad that the shark ate the guys fish. Thats why I hate sharks, they're too greedy
